The Color of Silence

In the golden haze of the sunrise, a garden awakens, pulsing with life. Colors become sharper as the sun continues to rise. My metaphorical garden lives on paper through a fusion of acrylic paints and real pansies, a dance of color and form between the abstract and the tangible. Inspired by the beauty and richness of the Portuguese gardens, I wanted to create an experience that speaks of life’s impermanence and the joy of being present.

This collection is an invitation to feel alive. To step into a place where colors burst forth in exuberance, yet hold a stillness that calms the spirit. It is a garden not bound by geography but by essence, a space teeming with vitality and renewal. This collection of artworks embodies the idea that peace is not found solely in quietude but within the richness of life constantly unfolding, where every petal and every brush stroke tells a story of growth, transformation, and wonder. Rooted in an appreciation of Asian aesthetics and philosophy, the garden is a space where abundance and simplicity coexist, a sanctuary for those who cherish the natural world, who travel in mind and spirit, and who seek art that inspires presence.

Painted organic shapes and swirling colors evoke natural forms without literal representation, while real pansies and violas ground the work in tangible life. This fusion is a reminder that beauty in nature is both transient and eternal and true healing and relaxation emerge from a mindful engagement with the present moment. The textured Hahnemuhle William Turner paper complements this vision, its painterly surface enhancing both the tactile qualities of the paint and the delicate shapes of the pansies.

This is a limited collection of 24 prints plus 10 artist proofs (used exclusively for exhibitions) that will be launched in November during Open Spaces, an international art event organized by the Visual Artists Association in the UK.
